Every day, 27 South Australians hear the words, “You have cancer”. And for every person diagnosed, another three to five loved ones are also significantly impacted.
It means that too many of us have a cancer story―of someone we’ve lost, a loved one who’s going through their own journey, or perhaps you have your own personal experience.
It also means that everyone has a reason to push for something better.
At Cancer Council SA, our vision is a cancer free future.
And every minute, every hour, every day, we make it our mission to get one step closer― from our ground-breaking research projects that are finding new and better ways to detect and treat cancer, to our life-saving prevention programs that empower people to reduce their cancer risk, all the way through to our essential support services that help people navigate the emotional, physical, and practical challenges that cancer can bring.
That’s why we’re here for all South Australians affected by cancer.
